When I read today’s Business Daily and came across the “Patron leaves city hotel with Sh3m unpaid bill” I laughed for a good minute at how easy it is to dupe local hospitality chaps with a “weng” and a good suit before the name Julius Mwale clicked…isn’t this the guy who came into town earlier in the year in Jan, guns blazing talking big about his firm SBA technologies and dropping revenue figures in the billions of dollars?
On the Skunk works list there was a lot of discussion when the boy (33-year-old Julius Mwale, President and Head of Strategy at SBA Technologies Inc.Born and raised in Butere, Kakamega District )was in town. He even attend the now popular MindSpeak event, where he blew everyone away.
“This is because, at present, the company is raising funds to finance its expansion. But people have to raise the individual minimum investment of Sh37.5 million ($500,000). In Kenya, the company, through its financial advisers, is achieving this goal through one of its agents, a group led by millionaire Chris Kirubi. Mr Mwale controls 80 per cent of the company, with external investors having about 10 per cent. Another 10 per cent has been reserved for employees.”
His recent actions stink like an aggravated a skunks behind, but you make the call. Read up on these links and tell me what you think. Is he for real? What does this do for the legitimacy of the techprenuer?

Maybe you need to know why I was laughing…these big establishments have a certain modus operandi that totally turns me off at times.Lesson to the hospitality chaps, when I walk into your spot in my jeans and a polo and ask for a tall glass of something, serve me quick and with a smile…am paying cash..nuff said
